A passionate and energetic speaker, Claire’s passion for people is evident in how she talks about helping companies really engage with their staff and make incredible differences to their productivity and, ultimately, their revenue. Born into a family of self-starters spanning several generations, it was a natural choice for Claire to start her own business, which began in 2017 and has gone from strength to strength.

With a 12-year history in Capita and Danske Bank, Claire has first-hand experience of HR in large companies but Claire’s entrepreneurial spirit has hit home with start-ups and SMEs.

She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, has a First Class Honors Degree and Masters in HRM. In addition, she is a qualified Leadership Coach, a part time lecturer and trainer in the field of Management, Leadership and HR for South Eastern Regional College and Belfast Metropolitan College.

In 2019 Claire was a finalist in the Courage Category in the Mums in Business National Awards, the Mighty Women Awards for Entrepreneurship and the Great British Entrepreneur Awards for Entrepreneurial Spirit. Outside of work, Claire is married with three kids, enjoys wild swimming and rarely turns down an invite to a party.

With over 18 years of public and private sector experience in people development, Corrina’s passion for performance management is palpable. Corrina knew early on in her career that working with companies to develop a strong workforce was what came naturally to her. Intuitive and a great listener, her personal skills helped quickly develop a rapport with managers and employees alike.

Prior to working with EVOLVE, Corrina’s extensive experience includes 13 years at Capita. Here she managed large teams and held a number of roles delivering Payroll, Recruitment, Onboarding and HR services to a wide variety of clients.

She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a part time lecturer in the field of Management, Leadership and HR for South Eastern Regional College.

Outside of work, Corrina is married with two children and a dog. She enjoys running and listening to podcasts.

Rachael Spollen

Rachael’s unique experience touches upon every aspect of people management from within major UK corporates to small start-ups keen to make their mark in the global economy and marketplace. You name it, she’s dealt with it! Starting her career in PWC as an Audit Planner, she eventually led their growing business division some 11 years later.

Moving to the SERE Motor Group, Rachael’s natural strategic thinking became invaluable in creating new policy as the company grew, becoming the key person to manage personal development across the company. But it was during Rachael’s time with the Equality Commission and, subsequently, starting a family, she saw the value of flexible working – the growing new norm..

With the employer/employee relationship shifting so much, it’s this understanding that sees EVOLVE’s quick ascension to being the go-to agency for people management in Northern Ireland. Joining EVOLVE was a natural conclusion for Rachael to be a part of the changing landscape of people management.

Nicola is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development with over 25 years’ experience in HR.  Nicola has experience in a diverse range of sectors, including, Utilities, Civil Service, IT Services, Professional Services, Engineering, Health, and most recently working for a global leader in advanced technologies, before transitioning into Consultancy work. 

Ever community minded, Nicola has previously been a Board member for North Down & Ards Women’s Aid as well as holding the position of Registered Chairperson for a local community-based Pre-school and Playgroup. 

Nicola is often referred to as a “Trusted Adviser” and the “go-to” person for stakeholders given her ability to scan the landscape of an issue and identify both key threats and opportunities and from this, develop a clear action plan, building in contingencies and flexibility. 

Working in the Health Service during the Covid pandemic, Nicola was able to pivot from her day-job of HR Business Partner to becoming an integral member of the Care Home Response Hub that South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust quickly established and flex to every task that needed to be done.

Nicola is a clear strategic thinker who has that unique gift of being able to communicate complex messages to a wide-range of stakeholders, using a variety of media. 

In recent years, Nicola’s focus has been on change management initiatives, ranging from restructures and redundancies to implementing improved ways of working, including change in working hours, locations, use of technology, etc. Nicola supported her stakeholders in implementing a well thought-out and clearly communicated business case for change. 

Nicola adopts a true partnership approach with stakeholders, whether they are business owners, line managers, trade union representatives or assembly line operatives. This enables responsible, informed decision making, which is respectful of others’ positions. 

Nicola acts with integrity and is always mindful of working to achieve the right outcome. Her creative, innovative and curious mind means she is an asset to our team at EVOLVE; and to all clients with whom she is working.

With over 10 years experience in Generalist HR roles, Sarah started out her HR career in manufacturing and has worked in a range of industries including hospitality, construction and private education. CIPD qualified and with a MA (Hons) Business and Management from the University of Glasgow she started her first temporary HR role shortly after graduating.

Her time spent in a stand alone HR role at the Armagh City Hotel was invaluable to her development and focused on recruitment, payroll, performance management and developing policies and Procedures. Sarah's passion lies in the field of Employee Relations and particularly the importance of effective communication in the workplace and the role of HR in supporting this. 

Since joining Evolve in November 2022 as a HR consultant she has focused on supporting our on-hand clients.

Joanne joined EVOLVE in January 2023 bringing over 17 years’ of HR experience to the team gained within global, multi-national, UK-wide and award-winning companies such as Medtronic, House of Fraser, Barclay Communications, ITV and Huhtamaki. 

Joanne’s experience over the years has equipped her to recognise and balance the commercial needs of businesses whilst managing their need to support and manage employees ensuring everyone has the ability and desire to work towards the same goals and objectives.

As well as a wealth of HR experience, Joanne brings with her a personable, knowledgeable, adaptable and innovative view on all situations to be managed.

Oonagh Ferson

HR Advisor

Oonagh is an HR Advisor and Subject Matter Expert in Menopause. With an extensive background in people-centric and administrative roles, she joined EVOLVE in January 2024 after completing her MSc in Human Resource Management with distinction at Queen’s University, Belfast. Oonagh is also a CIPD Level 7 Associate Member.

Her dissertation, titled ‘Perimenopause and Menopause at Work: How Can Organisations Further Prevent the Loss of Knowledge and Talent in the Workplace?’, focused on the interplay between women’s careers and workplace support within Northern Ireland.

Outside of work, Oonagh enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Rachel Clinton is our Marketing and Training Consultant at EVOLVE. She joined the company through the graduate internship programme in 2022 after earning a BSc in Language and Linguistics with Counselling Studies from Ulster University Jordanstown (UUJ).

Rachel has focused her career on marketing, contributing to key projects like EVOLVE’s recognition as one of the Small Biz 100 in 2022. As a certified DISC practitioner, she also delivers DISC training to clients, supporting the company’s leadership and management programmes. Rachel’s responsibilities include website content creation, design, social media marketing, and networking, making her an integral part of the EVOLVE team.

Kieran joined Evolve as a Computer Science graduate from the University of Ulster with a BSc in Computing Science with Professional Practice. Kieran wanted to expand his portfolio of experience in working environments, and EVOLVE offered an opportunity to provide tech solutions for an entire business.

Through his time with EVOLVE he has been working on introducing systems to better improve the logistics and efficiency of the team, allowing them to focus on the clients and not the tech issues. He has also been improving the security of EVOLVE, making sure that all client information is safe and secure.
